Acceptable Use and Abuse Policy
Claim Site Live hosts many small sites under one parent domain, so one bad site can harm everyone else. This policy says what is not allowed and what we do when we find it. It applies to every site and domain we build, host or register, including sites on *.claimsitelive.com and on customers' own domains.
What is not allowed
- Phishing and impersonation. Pretending to be another business, bank, government agency or service, or copying a brand to trick people. This includes using a brand name in your site name or domain without permission.
- Collecting sensitive data. Asking visitors for passwords, card or bank numbers, government ID numbers, or security codes.
- Scams and fraud. Fake stores, advance-fee and investment scams, fake giveaways, counterfeit goods, deceptive "support" pages.
- Malware and attacks. Software that harms visitors or other systems, links to such software, or content used to attack others.
- Illegal content. Anything illegal where you or your visitors are, including content that sexually exploits children (which we report to the authorities), terrorism, human trafficking, and illegal drugs or weapons sales.
- Violence, hate and harassment. Threats, incitement to violence, content that attacks people for who they are, and targeted harassment or publishing private information.
- Infringement. Content that copies or uses someone else's copyright or trademark without permission.
- Spam and abuse of the service. Mass unsolicited messages, using the service to send spam, creating many sites to dodge enforcement, or trying to overload or bypass our systems.
- False registration details. Registering a domain with false owner information.
How we find problems
- We screen business names, descriptions and generated site text for impersonation and scam patterns before a site is built. Some requests are refused automatically.
- We check sites against safety lists and respond to reports from the public, registrars, hosting providers and security services.
- Anyone can report a site at claimsitelive.com/report or by email to abuse@claimsitelive.com.
What we do
- Review. We read every report and aim to review it within one business day. Reports of phishing, malware or exploitation of children are treated as urgent.
- Suspend. If a site breaks this policy we replace it with a neutral "unavailable" page. This takes effect immediately and can be reversed. We may suspend first and ask questions afterward when people could be harmed.
- Notify. We email the site owner with the reason and what they can do.
- Remove or end service. For serious or repeated violations we remove the site and may end the customer's service without a refund. Domains tied to abuse may be locked or reported to the registry and registrar as their rules require.
- Legal requests. We respond to valid legal process and may share information with law enforcement where the law requires or allows it.
If your site was suspended
Email support@claimsitelive.com from the address on your order, with your site address and an explanation. If we got it wrong, or you fix the problem, we will restore the site. Repeated violations may be refused.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on a Claim Site Live site infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@claimsitelive.com that identifies the work, the page address, your contact details, a statement that you believe the use is unauthorized, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner. We may remove the content and pass your notice to the site owner.
Changes
We may update this policy as threats change. The date above shows the latest version.
